the literary analysis at a glance
At the end of the fall 2018 semester, I completed this essay analyzing “Etched Away,” a poem by Paul Celan, who we studied during our fourth unit of the Humanities course. I included it here because the unit on Paul Celan was very informative in my own journey as a writer and poet. At this time, I learned that we don’t have to understand exactly what Celan, or any author, means in order to learn something from and/or about his works.
